“I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We were finishing a two week group tour and stayed at various hotels in Spain. Had read previous reviews, mainly good but with the splattering of average reviews. We were very fortunate to get upgraded because of my wife’s platinum status. We got a Corner room on the sixth floor. As with previous reviews we were met with a nice small bag of tasty orange flavored chocolates. We also asked for a couple more pillows and even though they were busy , we received them in record time of less than five minutes. The bedding and linen were extremely comfortable, best on our trip. For me, what stood out the most was the air conditioning, which was the best on our entire trip. Another big plus was the soundproofing of the room. Needless to say, I slept very well.| As for the rooftop pool. Previous reviews were critical of its size and seating area. If you want a large pool with lounges, go to a resort, not a hotel in the city. I was happy with the fact that they even had a pool.| The location is not far from a nice shopping or commercial area. You can walk to old town and the castle if you want or just simply call for transportation for a short drive. The airport is not that far, probably 15 to 20 minutes by car.| Overall, a very nice experience.”

“We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice during August this year. Our first stay was after a very late flight, arriving at the hotel well after 11pm. The receptionist could not have been more helpful or professional, making our late arrival completely hassle-free.||We had a very comfortable night’s sleep and enjoyed breakfast the following morning. There was an excellent and extensive selection, with great service.||The hotel’s location is very central, and we particularly appreciated its proximity to Avenida Maisonnave.||After our holiday, we stayed for a second night before our flight home. Once again, the reception team were welcoming and professional, and we received excellent service in the bar. We also had another very comfortable night’s sleep.||We travel regularly, and I can honestly say that the staff were exceptionally pleasant, the rooms were modern and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.||We would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly return.”

“Reception staffs are not very friendly so our first impression of this hotel is not that great. Given it is a Marriott hotel, we expected more. Hotel is just opposite the bus stop, 10 minutes walk from the train station and around 15 minutes walk from the city centre so it is quite convenient.”

“The place basically kicked us out of the place because we were waiting in the lobby for a friend to check in because of a small dog to 35*C heat. It’s understandable that the hotel doesn’t allow dogs but to stand for a couple of minutes in the lobby while we had to wait for someone’s check in should be common sense and not seen as a crime. Overall the whole service experience also for the friend wasn’t really good. The front desk is rather rude than helpful. Not a customer and won’t be for sure.”
